Get the most out of your pesos in the Dominican Republic

If you’re off to the Dominican Republic for some sand, sea and sunshine, make sure you have less to think about while you catch those rays, and get some spending money sorted before you go. US dollars are widely accepted, but the main currency is the Dominican peso.

The exchange rate between the pound and the peso varies, but as a rough guide, the average was around RD$64.26 to every £1 in early 2023.

Where to get Dominican pesos
