Planning a South American adventure to Chile soon? It must be time to start sorting out your travel money. For a holiday in Chile, you’ll need Chilean pesos, or CH$. The national currency for the country, it’s available in both coins and notes. It’s officially split up into centavos, but they’re no longer in use.

The exchange rate for Chilean pesos is always changing, but in early 2023 the average rate for British pounds was CH$898 to every £1.

Your guide to using Chilean pesos abroad
